For awhile now at the Room whenever Jörg does the traditional Pampero Rum Ritual, especially at Bitcoin Stammtisches, he proclaims loudly to the whole Room:

“To Freedom Of Transaction. To blockchain eternity, and beyond!!!”

Recently, at the annual Hackers Congress in Prague organized by the good folks at Paralelni Polis, Jörg gave a talk titled THE INEVITABLE AND AWFUL END OF THE GRAND BITCOIN EXPERIMENT. Despite the title, the talk is actually positive about bitcoin and it’s roles in the future of humanity.

Jörg goes on to say these significant words:

“Freedom of transaction is a human right that you need to carry out all your other human rights … What worth is freedom of assembly if you can’t buy a train ticket anonymously to go to that assembly?”

At one point during the talk, Jörg quotes the Bible

“…and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

As bitcoiner Peter Todd remarked on social media “Wow, I had entirely forgotten how this famous verse is actually about economic participation."
